NATHALIE WHITAKER
Nathalie has a heart for those struggling spiritually, emotionally and with life in general. Her vision is to see these people learning to treasure God, finding hope and healing in a close relationship with Him and discovering that God is all-sufficient.
She is building relationships with many people throughout the community, leading a local initiative called "Craft and Connect" which provides a safe and welcoming space for people who feel isolated and are struggling in their daily lives. Through these growing relationships, people feel safe to share their journey and life story and sometimes this leads to some deep conversations and an opportunity to mentor them, showing them the way to Jesus. This has started to happen through individual bible studies and discipleship. She has the desire to find other opportunities to meet with more local people.
In addition to “Craft and Connect,” Nathalie is part of her local church’s “Tea and Toast” ministry, where she meets with people from all walks of life, praying with and listening to them and helping them in their daily lives.
Together with her husband, she regularly invites people to their home for meals, a ministry which has grown out of these relationships. They have the goal to lead people to Christ, encourage them and develop interchurch relationships and friendships, inviting people from different churches, encouraging people to pray for each other and for each other's churches which leads to practical help being given when appropriate. This also involves providing accommodation to people as needed.
Nathalie and her husband also host a homegroup for mutual support and growth.
